• Areas for strategic industrial development include: 5G and mobile internet, biopharmaceuticals such as protein, high-end medical diagnostic equipment, genetic testing, modern Chinese medicine, intelligent robots, 3D printing and applications of the BeiDou satellite navigation system

In the context of the innovation system of the Greater Bay Area, Macao has specific missions in the areas of Tourism Services and Training, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Digital Financial Services, Health Industries and Services, Maritime Industries and Services, and Marine Biology.

Academic cooperation between China and the Portuguese-speaking countries can benefit from the focus on these strategic areas in the context of the Greater Bay Area Outline Development Plan, especially those in which Macao plays a specific role.
