The Bachelor of Arts in Design, Faculty of Arts and Design (FAD) of Macao Polytechnic University (MPU), held the “Design is not the Subject” Online Seminar, and cordially invited Associate Professor Ichiro Saga from Tama Art University, Japan. Associate Professor Ichiro Saga presented his thoughts on the implications of visual communication design from the perspective of typography in the seminar. Almost one hundred students and teachers from MPU and the public attended the online seminar, and had a lively discussion.

Professor Ichiro Saga explored visual communication design in practical, cultural and historical contexts, confirming the key questions about: What is visual design? Who does it serve? How does it serve? The students expressed that the seminar not only deepened their understanding of design, but also provided substantial practical learning methods, and would be very beneficial to the future development of the design field.
