MPU FAD & GalaxyArt of Galaxy Macau™ Hold “The Scrolls of Stars - MPU Art Exhibition”
In order to maximise the synergy of “tourism + culture”, promote cultural and artistic innovation and exchanges, and continue to discover and help Macao's artistic masterpieces to go to the international arena, the Faculty of Arts and Design (FAD) of Macao Polytechnic University (MPU) and GalaxyArt of Galaxy Macau™ co-organised “The Scrolls of Stars - MPU Art Exhibition”. A feast of art created by MPU teachers, current students and graduates, which took the audiences on a journey through different art forms to experience the charm of arts in all its diversity.
This was the first time that MPU and an integrated resort have organised an art exhibition together, jointly displaying the artworks of teachers, alumni and students of the Bachelor of Arts in Visual Arts Programme and Bachelor of Arts in Media Arts Programme, fully demonstrating the deeply cultivating art education achievements of MPU. The opening ceremony included invited distinguished guests: Mr. Ho Hong Pan, The Head of the Department for Promoting Cultural and Creative Industries of the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macao SAR Government; Dr. Lei Ngan Lin, Vivian, Vice-Rector of Macao Polytechnic University; Associate Professor Lai Mei Kei, Acting Dean, Faculty of Arts and Design, Macao Polytechnic University; Ms. Hazel Wong, Executive Vice President of Retail at Galaxy Entertainment Group; as well as all artist representatives attending the exhibition.

On April 19th, a sharing session about the Scrolls of Stars (Alumni Artists Sharing Session) was held, where the participating artists shared with the audience their creative concepts and experiences in art creation in Macao.
In the future, the FAD of MPU will continue to be committed to the development of the arts fields, reaching out to the community to promote and popularise different new forms of art, and contributing to the development of the art and culture industries.
The FAD of MPU continues to cultivate talents with creative thinking, actively participates in the construction of cultural and creative industries, puts into practice the concept of “art in the community”, and promotes the development of art popularisation and social participation, thus showing the strength of the university in contributing to the development of Macao's cultural and artistic industry.
