本次「形塑之間」展覽，展出集合了「泥塑與翻模」、「造型基礎」兩個學科的優秀作品。「泥塑與翻模」所展示的作品，為赤燒泥塑單元作業，將雕塑泥以實心的方式塑造成型，再進行分割、挖空後燒製，依照創作者的選擇採取了顏料上色或是釉藥燒成兩種不同處理方式呈現。「造型基礎」以雕塑的加法(軟陶泥)、減法(石膏雕刻)為主要內容，學生在此基礎上再做出更多變化。「形塑之間」名稱強調了「塑造」的過程與結果，展現了雕塑藝術從無到有的創作歷程。「形塑」一詞既指物理上的塑造，也隱喻藝術家對形態、空間與情感的塑造。而「之間」則暗示了觀眾在觀展時，能夠感受到作品與空間、時間、甚至內心的互動與對話。整體名稱簡潔有力，充滿藝術感與哲思。
In this "Between Shaping" exhibition, it has been brought excellent works from the two teaching modules of "Clay Sculpting and Molding" and "Basic Sculpture". The displayed works of "Clay Sculpting and Molding" are the assignments of “Terracotta Sculptures” module. The sculpture clay is shaped in a solid manner, and then are divided, hollowed out and fired. According to the creators’ points of views, they present in two different processing methods: coloring with pigments or firing with glaze. "Basic Sculpture" focuses on sculpture addition (Polymer Clay) and subtraction (Plaster Sculpture) while the students can make more diversity based on them. "Between Shaping" emphasizes the process and results of "shaping", showing the creative process of sculpture art from scratching. The word of "shaping" refers not only to physical shaping, but also implies the artist's form of shaping, space and emotion. The word “between” implies that when the audience appreciate the exhibition, they can feel the interaction and dialogue between the works and space, time, and even their inner hearts. The concept is concise and powerful, full of artistic sense and philosophy.
