MPU students excelled at the “2022-2023 Macao University Sports Championship Awards Ceremony”, winning 13 gold, 15 silver, and 20 bronze in individual and doubles competitions as well as 4 gold, 6 silver, and 1 bronze medals in team competitions, for a total of 59 medals.
In activities encompassing table tennis, swimming, track and field, basketball, volleyball, and handball, students displayed infectious enthusiasm, a competitive spirit, and strong team collaboration. They noted that the competition helped improve their athletic abilities and teamwork, inspiring a spirit of courage and self-transcendence. Participation in local and international competitions provides students with the opportunity to gain valuable competitive experience. This exposure often leads to outstanding performances in international sporting events, bringing honour and recognition to Macao.
