Overview
  1. This scheme is targeted at Macao residents applying to the following programmes:
    • Bachelor of Science in Computing
    • Bachelor of Science in Artificial Intelligence
    • Bachelor of Physical Education
    • Bachelor of Arts in Chinese-Portuguese/Portuguese-Chinese Translation and Interpretation
    • Bachelor of Arts in Chinese-English Translation and Interpretation
    • Bachelor of Arts in International Chinese Language Education (Applicable to native speakers of Chinese)
    • Bachelor of Arts in Portuguese Language
    • Bachelor of Arts in Design
    • Bachelor of Arts in Music (Education/Performance)
    • Bachelor of Arts in Visual Art (Fine Arts/ Art Education)
    • Bachelor of Arts in Media Arts
    • Bachelor of Business Administration (Gaming and Recreation Management)
  2. Candidates applying for admission under this scheme will be exempted from written exams and will have a chance of gaining early admission after passing an interview.
Requirements
  1. To be qualified for consideration under this admission scheme, candidates must fulfill one of the following:
  • Having completed six years of secondary education and fulfilled the requirements for graduation; or
  • Currently attending the third year of senior high school or equivalent
  1. The above requirements will be waived for those aged 23 or above who are applying for admission to the Bachelor of Business Administration (Gaming and Recreation Management).
Eligibility
Candidates may apply for entry via the admission scheme for local talents and professionals if they fulfil the following criteria:
Programme Criteria
Bachelor of Science in Computing
  • Having won any award with merit in computing at Macao, National or International level

Bachelor of Science in Artificial Intelligence

  • Having won any award with merit in computing at Macao, National or International level
Bachelor of Physical Education
  • Currently competing in any sport in the Macao selection team or currently a representative of Macao school sports delegation
Bachelor of Arts in Chinese-Portuguese/Portuguese-Chinese Translation and Interpretation
(For Students from Chinese/English Education Systems)
  • Having won any award with merit in Portuguese or English language competitions (writing, recitation, debate, etc.) at Macao, National or International level; or
  • Having obtained the certificate of Portuguese language proficiency (e.g. CAPLE, Celpe-Bras etc.)
Bachelor of Arts in Chinese-Portuguese/Portuguese-Chinese Translation and Interpretation
(For Students from Portuguese Education Systems)
  • Having won any award with merit in Portuguese or English language competitions (writing, recitation, debate, etc.) at Macao, National or International level; or
  • Having obtained the certificate of Chinese language proficiency (e.g. HSK etc.)
Bachelor of Arts in Chinese-English Translation and Interpretation
  • Having won any award with merit in English language competitions (writing, recitation, debate, etc.) at Macao, National or International level
Bachelor of Arts in International Chinese Language Education (Applicable to native speakers of Chinese)
  • Having achieved the Certificate in Putonghua Proficiency Test (PSC) with Level 2-B or above; or
  • Having won any award with merit in Chinese or English language competitions (writing, recitation, debate, etc.) at Macao, National or International level; or
  • Having published any article of local or overseas medias in Chinese
Bachelor of Arts in Portuguese Language
  • Having won any award with merit in Portuguese or English language competitions (writing, recitation, debate, etc.) at Macao, National or International level; or
  • Having obtained the certificate of Portuguese language proficiency (e.g. CAPLE, Celpe-Bras etc.)
Bachelor of Arts in Design

*Submit either one (both are also accepted)

  • Having completed the short courses relating to design*; or
  • Having won any award in the major design competitions at Macao, National or International level in the most recent three years*;  and

 

  • A portfolio (one file in pdf format) should include:
  1. A CV (around 100 words in Chinese or 60 words in English);
  2. A catalogue consisting at least 10 pieces if work including description, type of arts, year of creation overall concept (around 200 words in Chinese or 120 words in English)
Bachelor of Arts in Music (Education/Performance)
  • Having won any award in the major music competitions at Macao, National or International level
Bachelor of Arts in Visual Art (Fine Arts/ Art Education)
  • Having completed the summer or short courses offered by MPU in Design or Visual Art; or
  • Having won any award in the major art or design competitions at Macao, National or International level
Bachelor of Arts in Media Arts
  • Having obtained internationally recognised certificates in media arts; or 
  • Proof of exhibiting in media arts related exibition; or 
  • Having won any award in the major media art competitions at Macao, National or International level
Bachelor of Business Administration (Gaming and Recreation Management)
  • Have at least one year of working experience in the gaming industry, with recommendation by the gaming enterprise/company they currently serve;or
  • Have at least three years of working experience in the gaming industry, with management experience
Application Procedures
  1. Fill out application during the application period at【Online application
  2. Pay application fee *
  3. Submit the required documents to the MPU Registry in person within the application period
  4. Application completed
*Applications will be considered valid after the application fee is settled.
Documents Required

Applicants should complete the application procedures online and submit the following documents to the MPU Registry in person within the application period:

  • A printout of the admission application form submitted online (with 1.5 inch photo);
  • A photocopy of valid Macao SAR resident ID card (the original copy should be presented for verification);
  • Photocopies of the testimonial(s) that verify their eligibility (the original copies should be presented for verification).

Remarks:

  • All submitted documents will not be returned;
  • All documents should be in Chinese, Portuguese or English; otherwise, an official certified translation should be provided.
Offer and admission process
Offer results will be released on MPU’s 【Candidate Portal】only. We do not notify admission decisions by email or by any other means.   Applications who wish to appeal their offer results should submit a written appeal to the Registry within 3 working days after the results are released. Late applications will not be entertained. Applications with an admission offer should download the offer letter and other relevant documents from the 【Candidate Portal】in late May and complete the admission procedures according to the instructions as stated.

Any uncertainties relevant to the said regulations will be resolved via the resolution of the relevant unit of MPU.
