Marco Wai is the Chief Representative, Hong Kong & Greater Bay Area, at 8 Hours Ahead, a UK-based venture growth firm specialising in MedTech and CleanTech startups, with a focus on scaling these ventures into the Chinese market.  

 

Marco holds a MBA degree with distinction from Imperial College London and was awarded as a Dean’s Impact Scholar. He has a BBA degree from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and holds a Certificate in ESG Investing from the CFA Institute.  

 

Before his MBA, Marco joined HSBC as a Global Management Trainee in the Global Banking & Markets division across Hong Kong and London. During his tenure, he worked on the trading floor specialising in the Macro FX and Rates asset class.
