About the Faculty
The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences strives to cultivate professionals academically and professionally excelling in respective fields. The programmes of study on offer currently include Bachelor of Social Sciences in Public Administration, Bachelor of Social Sciences in Social Work, Master of Public Administration, Master of Education (Cultural Communication and Education), and PhD in Public Policy.
The Bachelor of Social Sciences in Public Administration programme aims to nurture innovative management talents. The programme has passed the academic reviews conducted by the Higher Education Evaluation Center of the Ministry of Education (HEEC) and the Agency for Assessment and Accreditation of Higher Education (A3ES) of Portugal. The Bachelor of Social Sciences in Social Work programme has passed the Learning Programme Review conducted by the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ). It is the first bachelor’s degree programme in the field of social work in Macao to have passed an academic review by an international quality assurance agency. For years, the Master of Public Administration programme offered together with the Chinese Academy of Governance has nurtured numerous high-calibre professionals. The graduates, equipped with practical knowledge in public administration, are now serving in government departments, public and private organisations.
The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences will continue to enhance its education provision and research, promote developments within the disciplines, and expand collaboration with various organisations at different levels to foster an environment that promotes the development of Humanities and Social Sciences.
