                             Speaking
                             This course is designed to improve students’ practical skills in both listening and speaking.

                             It  uses  teaching  materials  taken  from  different  situations  of  modern  life  and  social
                             contexts,  and  integrates  traditional  classroom  teaching  with  multimedia  teaching
                             methods.  The  students  are  guided  in  terms  of  pronunciation,  intonation,  sentence
                             structures and how to use a more varied vocabulary.
                 GEOG1100    Humanity and Geography of China   2       30 hrs    ---
                             With the relationship between humans and geography as the theoretical clue, this course

                             illustrates  the  interactive  relationships  between  various  human  activities  and
                             geographical environment, summarizes and explores the temporal and spatial changes,
                             and  explains  the  factors  that  link  humans  with  geography.  Students  are  expected  to
                             understand the basic characteristics of Chinese humanity and geography.
                 HIST1100    History and Culture of Macao      2       30 hrs    ---
                             This course aims to help students achieve a comprehensive understanding of Macao. It

                             introduces the history of Macao since the end of the Ming Dynasty, the positive role
                             Macao played in modern Chinese history and in China’s cultural exchange with the West,
                             colonialism and Sino-Portuguese relations in the Ming and Qing dynasties, Macao’s urban
                             development, arts, handicraft industry, borders, and the development of the Catholic
                             Church.

                 PADM1120    Introduction to Public Administration  2   30 hrs   ---
                             This interdisciplinary course between Political Science and Management Science includes
                             the basic knowledge about public administration and comparative public administration
                             politics. It helps students enrich their knowledge about politics, management and public
                             administration,  and  grasp  the  basic  polices  and  the  general  situation  of  public
                             administration  in  different  countries  and  regions.  It  also  familiarizes  them  with  the
                             translated English versions of the corresponding theories and some organizations as well
                             as the methods of translation.

                             This course familiarizes students with theories of different sports events and enhances

                             their skills in playing sports in order to increase their interests in sports so that they could
                             design the exercise plans suitable for themselves and develop their life-long habits of
                             doing sports.

                             This course familiarizes students with the basic knowledge of Portuguese pronunciation,
                             lexicology, and syntax through various exercises to enhance their Portuguese proficiency.

                             This course, as a continuation of Portuguese Grammar I, further familiarizes students with
                             the basic knowledge of Portuguese pronunciation, lexicology and syntax through various
