Bachelor’s Programme in Sino-Lusophone Trade Relations Now Open for Applications
To align with our country's “One Belt & One Road” initiative and create an exchange platform between China and Portuguese-speaking countries, Macao Polytechnic Institute launched a new Bachelor's programme in Sino-Lusophone Trade Relations last year. This programme is now accepting applications for Academic Year 2016/2017. The Bachelor of Social Sciences in Sino-Lusophone Trade Relations uses a “3 plus 1” teaching mode – 3 years study in MPI and 1 year study in Portugal to connect with the Portugal's higher education system. This programme aims to cultivate quality professionals who are well-versed in the economies of China and Portuguese-speaking countries, their trading situation, laws and political systems, as well as commercial negotiations, marketing, public relations and e-commerce. Dr. Alexis Tam Chon Weng, Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture, personally presided over the Sino-Lusophone Trade Relations’Programme presentation ceremony, demonstrating the Macao SAR Government's strong support and belief in its importance for Macao.
