Objectives
This programme is a research-oriented doctoral programme dedicated to cultivating adept professionals who inclined towards intensive exploration and innovative research in the field of applied language sciences. It encompasses interdisciplinary studies in applied linguistics, language education, language technology, and educational psychology, addressing the diverse issues posed by the global development of language sciences. Students will gain a solid foundation in the core theories and methodologies of language sciences, and master the skills and technologies in digital linguistics such as natural language processing, corpus analysis, and generative artificial intelligence. The programme encourages students to explore intersections between language and technology, psychology, education, and sociology, fostering the creation of groundbreaking research directions for the development of language and cultural industries.
