Building on Macao's unique role as a Sino-Portuguese platform, this research delves into Chinese-Portuguese bilingual linguistics, translation studies, and comprehensive Lusophone studies. It focuses on theories and practices of advanced specialized translation (e.g., legal, commercial), Sino-Portuguese language education and acquisition, and systematic analysis of the political, economic, socio-cultural aspects and China-related policies of Portuguese-speaking countries. Key endeavors include building bilingual terminology databases, formulating bilingual education policies, enhancing cross-cultural communication, and providing strategic language services, aiming to consolidate Macao's bridging role and offer academic support for national strategies.
2) Language Sciences and Educational Innovation in the Digital Age
Integrating applied linguistics, computational linguistics, and pedagogy, this field explores the nature of language, acquisition processes, and pedagogical innovation driven by artificial intelligence and big data. Research encompasses corpus linguistics, computer-assisted language learning, the development of intelligent learning environments, digital language assessment, and patterns of technology-enhanced multilingual acquisition. It is committed to advancing evidence-based language science and developing forward-looking teaching methodologies and resources to meet the new demands for language competencies in the digital era.
3) Artificial Intelligence and Translation Studies
