A Delegation from the Catholic University of Portugal visited Macau Polytechnic University (MPU)

To expand Macao's role as a platform between China and Portuguese-speaking countries, a delegation led by Margarida Mano, Vice-Rector of the Catholic University of Portugal, visited MPU and was warmly received by President Marcus Im Sio Kei and others. The two parties held a pleasant discussion on issues such as Sino-Portuguese higher education exchanges, talent cultivation, and research cooperation.

During the meeting, Marcus Im Sio Kei introduced MPU's research development in the fields of artificial intelligence and big health, as well as the achievements of cooperation with universities and research institutions in Portuguese-speaking countries. He expressed his hope to strengthen research cooperation with the Catholic University of Portugal and expand Macao's role as a platform between China and Portuguese-speaking countries.

Margarida Mano thanked MPU for its warm reception and praised MPU's outstanding contributions to Sino-Portuguese higher education and research cooperation. She hoped that this visit would promote research cooperation between the two universities in the field of big health and achieve a new milestone in Sino-Portuguese academic cooperation.

The Macao Polytechnic University and the Catholic University of Portugal signed a cooperation agreement to establish long-term and friendly academic cooperation, jointly implement innovative research projects, and promote the development of scientific research and education in China and Portugal.
