Macao Polytechnic University Organises "Love This Planet" Environmental Campaign

Macao Polytechnic University’s students explore beautiful nature up close at the Seac Pai Van Wetland.In order to enhance environmental awareness among university students and promote sustainable development, the Student Affairs Office of Macao Polytechnic University organised the “Love This Planet” Environmental Campaign. The activities featured were rich and diverse, with great educational significance, and included visits to various environmental facilities and conservation areas. These activities allowed students to personally understand the importance of environmental measures in daily life and learn how to protect the earth, cherish resources, safeguard the green home, and build a prosperous and beautiful world.
The “Love This Planet” Environmental Campaign lasted for several weeks, during which students visited the Coloane Sewage Treatment Plant, Cross-boundary Industrial Zone Sewage Treatment Station, Electronic and Electrical Equipment Recycling Plant and Cotai Ecological Zone, as well as participating on a field trip to the Seac Pai Van Wetland. Guided by tour guides, the participating students learned about various animals, plants and ecosystems, deeply appreciating the importance of protecting the ecological environment. Through this experience, the participants gained a profound understanding of how environmental protection requires the collective participation of society as a whole and individuals alike. They are committed to contributing to environmental conservation and protecting the earth’s ecosystems, in order to achieve sustainable development and build a beautiful home for all.
Macao Polytechnic University continuously complies with the environmental policies and guidelines for green development in contemporary China. It organises various student activities to deepen understanding of environmental conservation. Through the “Love This Planet” Environmental Campaign, the spirit of loving the earth is actively put into practice on campus, encouraging both academic staff and students to start from their daily lives, protect the ecological environment, reduce pollution emissions, and achieve harmonious coexistence between humans and nature, thus jointly contributing to the cause of environmental protection.
