From MPU to CCISP
Macau Polytechnic University (MPU) launched a student exchange programme with The Portuguese Polytechnics Coordinating Council (CCISP) and Association of Portuguese Universities (AULP) to provide opportunities to study in one of the Portuguese Speaking Country for the 1st semester or 2nd semester, explore a new culture which can opens your mind to a new perspective, learn a language quickly by applying it in your daily life, gain higher level of adaptability, independence, and the ability to work with people of different cultures.
Eligibility
- Registered undergraduate students.
- Students with a GPA of 2.5 or above, and good Portuguese or English language proficiency.
- Have the learning agreement approved by the host institution and selected associated institution.
- Holder of a valid travel document and visa to the associated institution country.
- A valid and suitable travel medical insurance and medical expenses including urgent medical care that covers the period that the student will study in the selected associated institutions.
- Specific criteria set by associated institution and host institution, if any.

How long is the Exchange Period?
The exchange period is for 1 semester.
What are the expenses during the exchange period?
- MPU tuition fees, medical insurance, and hostel fee (if applicable).
- Living expenses, visa fee, international travel fee, and other possible expenses, but are exempt from the Portuguese-speaking Country Higher education institutes tuition fees and hostel fees.
Do I need to stay in the associated institutions student hostel?
Outgoing students are advised to stay in the student hostel (if provided), however, students can decide to stay in hostel or to stay out at student own cost and the host institution approval.
What are the associated institutions degree programmes and study plans available for my exchange period?
Associated institutions offer a number of degrees programmes to students. Outgoing students are restricted to enroll in the courses provided by specific associate institution. For further information of the programmes and study plans, please refer to each associated institution website.
How do I get my credit transfer?
The credits earned during the exchange study period are equivalent to all or part of the credits in the corresponding semester of MPU, and are marked with an "X"; the grades obtained in various subjects during the exchange study period will not be calculated into the student's cumulative score (GPA). Students should consult the academic advisor at your home institution for credit transfer and academic consultation.
When is the application period?
The application period might vary and will be announced via email in the due course.
How do I know if I have been accepted for the exchange programme?
The results announcement will be made via email to each student after the confirmation by the Faculty and the associated institution.
