For accidental injuries occurring in Macao, must inpatient and outpatient services be received only at Conde de São Januário Hospital, Kiang Wu Hospital, and Macao University of Science and Technology Hospital?

If a student participates in an exchange program outside Macau during the coverage period, can the Medical Insurance premium be paid proportionally based on the number of days residing in Macao?
  • According to the regulations of insurance company, insured students are required to pay the full annual premium regardless of the duration of their stay in Macao.
Are vaccination costs reimbursable?
  • Vaccinations received for personal purposes, such as HPV vaccine, shingles vaccine, pneumococcal vaccine, and hepatitis vaccines, are excluded from coverage. However, physician-prescribed vaccinations for accidental injury treatment (including tetanus and rabies) are eligible for reimbursement, subject to the insurance company’s review and final approval.
