MPI Ranks as a Four-star University in China

The latest 'Evaluation Report of 2016 Chinese University rankings' recently published by the university research team of the Chinese University Alumni Association (CUAA) announced the latest Chinese Universities Rankings, Star Ratings of Universities in the Chinese Mainland, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao, Chinese Universities Rankings by Category and Chinese Universities Rankings by Outstanding Alumni of 2016. Peking University topped the list of the 2016 Chinese Universities Rankings with Tsinghua University at second and Fudan University at third, while Wuhan University and Zhejiang University are ranked 4th and 5th respectively. Among the rankings of universities of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, Macao Polytechnic Institute continues to rank among 4-star universities in China and its ranking as one of the high quality universities in China suggests recognition of its teaching quality. The university ranking system covers four quality indexes: alumni, faculty members, standard of teaching and programme design and development. Universities such as the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, the City University of Hong Kong, the Dong Hwa University (Taiwan), the Sun Yat-sen University (Taiwan) as well as the Taiwan University of Science and Technology are also rated as 4-star universities in China. In the ranking by specialisation among Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, the Chinese-Portuguese and Chinese-English Translation and Interpretation programmes of MPI are selected as four-star specialisations (high-quality specialisation) in China, while the E-commerce, Management, Accounting and Finance, Computing, Social Work, Public Administration, Design, Visual Arts, Music, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Technology and Physical Education programmes are selected as three-star specialisations (renowned specialisation) in China.

The Chinese University Alumni Association has 27 years of history and has announced Chinese university rankings for 14 consecutive years.
