MPI Organises Activities to Celebrate the Year of the Tiger
The President of the Macao Polytechnic Institute, Im Sio Kei, together with students, celebrating the Lunar New Year
Macao Polytechnic Institute organised activities to celebrate the arrival of the Year of the TigerIn order to gather together students who stayed in Macau during the Chinese New Year, to enrich their holiday and let them experience the festive atmosphere, the Macao Polytechnic Institute (MPI) organised “Celebration of the Lunar New Year of the Tiger” on the first day of the Lunar New Year (1st February). Prof Im Sio Kei, President of MPI participated in the activity and celebrated the new year with students and teachers. His season’s greetings and spring blessings brought joy to everyone.
President Im and other MPI staff visited the student hostel on the first day of the Lunar New Year. They celebrated with students who stayed in Macao for the New Year and sent them the season’s blessings. The activity attracted a great deal of student participation and the scene was lively and joyful. Im Sio Kei spoke to the students in a cordial manner, advising them to clearly define their goals for the Year of the Tiger, to have a strong conviction and to strive for self-improvement and better preparation, as well as to pursue their dreams bravely. The students who participated in the activity shared their feelings and goals for the New Year, and said that the college had arranged a variety of programmes for students to celebrate the New Year in Macao and feel the joyful atmosphere of the Spring Festival all over the campus.
Macao Polytechnic Institute has organised a series of interesting activities for students during the Chinese New Year holidays, including Spring Festival Celebration, Spring Blessing, Spring Festival Celebration MPI Challenge Cup, Hike and Succeed and other festive activities to celebrate Chinese New Year, so that students who stayed in Macao and those who lived here could come together and celebrate the festive season together.
