The 2025 China Accreditation Test for Translators and Interpreters (CATTI) will be held from June 21 to June 22 at Macao Polytechnic University (MPU). As the sole official CATTI test centre in Macao, the Faculty of Languages and Translation at MPU will organize the translation proficiency tests in both English and Portuguese. Registration for the tests is now open, with the deadline on May 14. Translation professionals from all sectors are welcome to participate.

The CATTI test is a national certification system designed to evaluate examinees’ proficiency in bilingual translation, including both oral and written translation. Successful examinees will receive a qualification certificate jointly issued by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and the China Foreign Languages Publishing Administration. This certificate is widely recognized in the job market and is the preferred authoritative certification for translation professionals and students in higher education.

MPU, in collaboration with the CATTI Project Management Centre, China Foreign Languages Publishing Administration, has established the first CATTI test centre in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, to cultivate translation professionals with an international vision through a specialized assessment system.
