Green Commuting

PEDESTRIAN PRIORITY ON CAMPUS
The university prioritises pedestrian access on campus. There are pedestrian sidewalks with sufficient space and width for providing users a safe and comfortable environment. Pedestrian zones are designed to connect main buildings on campus. Visitors can reach all locations within the campus by walking.

SHUTTLE BUS
The university offers shuttle bus travelling between Macao and Taipa campuses, to provide a more eco-friendly approach.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
The university encourages students to use public transportation in order to reduce carbon emissions. Bus discounted fare is offered to students when they present their student Macau Pass. For the same distance traveled, taking public transportation can result in over six times less carbon dioxide emissions compared to driving a car.

ELECTRIC VEHICLES
Electric vehicles can reduce carbon emissions and are considered more environmentally friendly than cars. The university is currently constructing a new building with parking facility that includes dedicated parking spots for electric vehicles. Charging stations for electric vehicles will be installed to encourage the use of electric vehicles for commuting. The completion and utilization of this facility are expected to take place in 2024.
